Shipping
Shipping rates are as follows:
Purchased books: $3.49 for the first book, .99 for each additional book.
Orders are shipped via U.S. Media Mail and should be received within 3-10 business days. Residents in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and APO/FPO addresses please allow an additional 2-5 business days. If you have not received your shipment within 10 days, please send an email to support. Make sure to provide your user name, order number, and the title of the book or books you ordered.
Ordering
Shortly after placing your order you are sent an email confirming the order. A second email is sent the day your order has shipped.
After clicking the title of any book, you will have the option to "Buy" the book. When you click "Buy" the book will be added to your shopping cart. You have the option of removing any book in your shopping cart by clicking the word "Delete" next to the selected title. NOTE: Books placed in your shopping cart will remain in your cart until you order or delete the book. Leaving the site will not automatically remove books from your cart.
Books placed in your shopping cart are available for checkout at any time. Simply click the "Go to checkout" button located at the bottom of your shopping cart. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover.
Shopping at Booksfree is safe. The software, hardware, and techniques used to ensure your safety are based on industry standards, and have been thoroughly tested. Credit card information will only be transmitted when your browser and our server have successfully negotiated a secure, encrypted connection.
Booksfree uses Raven-SSL, a version of the robust Apache web server, enhanced for security. The operating system used is based on BSD Unix, enhanced for security. All non-essential services and programs have been removed or disabled. Several monitoring systems detect any attempt to access the server, and logs are kept at a remote location. These logs are reviewed daily for suspicious activity. Access to the server is restricted to only essential operational personnel, and then only via encrypted connections.
