In this volume you will find a brief evaluation on the importance of the artistry of the Cycladic, Minoan and Mycenaean civilizations. It is through the art and architecture of these very early Greek civilizations that we have been better able to understand the true roots of the Greek civilization in its entirety. The art and architecture of these three civilizations have yielded us much insight into the basic social organization, living habits, religions and spiritual figures that would later develop into the basis for Greek society.
