Angela, an angel who is a member of the angelic host, is given an unusual assignment as guardian angel to Jessica Jones; however, Angela doesn't know where her charge is or how to find her. Her search seems to be taking many strange twists and turns, even for an angel. First her search takes her to New York City and then to Chicago, Illinois, and finally to a small Midwestern town in Indiana, Jessica's hometown. Angela is totally bewildered why she was given this assignment, and why this way. In the process, she is rebuffed twice by her assignment committee for her unorthodox behavior. In the end, Angela realizes what her assignment really means, that she must want to be with Jessica for the rest of Jessica's life, a realization that is going to make all the difference in Jessica's life here on this Earth plane…if Jessica lives!
