Two missing girls haunt a prosecutor in this work of romantic suspense. Dropping into a convenience store to pick up dog food, South Carolina Assistant District Attorney Sarah Mason inadvertently stumbles into a hold-up. After the shooting's over, a little girl who was hiding underneath a table is nowhere to be found. Sarah sets out to locate her, all the while tormented by mysterious phone calls from another little girl who sounds a lot like Lexie, her six-year-old daughter who disappeared 10 years ago.
