Intrepid sleuths, Annabelle McGee and J.B. Jones, are on the trail once again as the best friends head out west for a cheap vacation in Fred, Arizona, a former ghost town that turns out to have a naughty past. It seems that, eighty years earlier, a prostitute was murdered in the same cut-rate quarters where Annabelle and J.B are currently staying, and the prostitute's granddaughter has, for unknown reasons, decided to involve Annabelle in her investigation of the still unsolved case. Meanwhile, J.B. has had enough of Fred and takes off on the back of a Harley in an attempt to get a Sedona fix. On the front of that particular Harley is a man that J.B. thinks might be just right for Annabelle. Before their vacation is over, Annabelle's ex, Buster Taylor, shows up in an attempt to keep Annabelle not only from once again entangling herself in yet another crazy and perhaps dangerous crime investigation, but also from something far more sinister.a romantic relationship at an embarrassingly advanced age. Add to the mix Annabelle's dog, cat, and three grown children, along with Fred's very own truly unusual inhabitants, and you will find yourself, once again, spending way too much of your free time involved in another Annabelle McGee mystery.
