Charles Kingsley was a 19th century British novelist. Kingsley became a minister before becoming a Professor of Modern History at the University of Cambridge. Heroes, written in 1857 is a children's book about Greek mythology. Kingsley chooses to write about three of the lesser-known people in mythology. The three sections in this book are Perseus, the Argonauts and Theseus. This book is recommended for upper Elementary and Middle school children.
