Behind the Mask has a three-fold purpose. First, God demonstrated His love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Second, to let you know that you are not alone. The third purpose and prayer is that you will be healed. The world and the church consist of both good and evil. There are predators seeking out opportunities to use and abuse whomever they can. Accepting the responsibility of one's own negative plight can lead to severe depression, drug and alcohol abuse, or even worse. Yet some of you, like the author of this book, have accepted the pain and tried to bury it, ashamed of what people will say and think. Yet, in hiding you've become a prisoner of your past.
