Still smarting from a divorce, Danny takes a vacation, only to end up shipwrecked on a South American island with a strange woman who reminds him of his ex-wife. While she isn't overly attractive, he is drawn to her quiet nature and they become friends. Life isn't easy without modern conveniences, but they use the crude resources of the island to improve life. But they aren't alone on the island as they'd originally thought. Another ship's passenger made it through the luxury liner's sinking and found safety on the shores of the same island. And when buried treasure and diamond vents are discovered, they find that he'll stop at nothing to have the treasure for himself, including murder.
