They all encounter crisis and turmoil-whether dealing with a loved one's struggling with addiction or mental illness, or dealing with the break-up of marriages and relationships. In Promises Made, Promises Kept, I explore how a family deals with some of these issues. They try to remain a family and stick together no matter what life throws their way. When reading my novel, I encourage you to look at the characters and their individual struggles. Each has to cope with making decisions and handling the consequences of those decisions.
