Is it possible that a devilish being from the 'City of Daemons' on the far away planet R'lyeh, which circles the purple star Aldebaron, can completely annihilate the Earth?

A covert CIA team is formed to investigate a strange gravitational anomaly that suddenly appears over the western desert of Egypt. It was discovered by NASA's new POGGO satellite. The CIA suspects that a secret atomic laboratory has been constructed below the sands of the Berket Qarun area of Egypt, possibly to fabricate weapons of mass destruction. This covert team is embedded in an existing joint American/Egyptian expedition composed of anthropologists and archeologists from the Arkham University, who are searching for the sources of the pre-dynastic Egyptian people who probably migrated from the ancient lands of Kush and Libya over ten thousand years ago.

An Egyptian archeologist in the expedition believes he has found, under the ruined Hawara pyramid, the original mysterious Necronomicon text, attributed to the medieval Arab, Abdul al-Hazred. This text indicates that hideous forces of the Devil, who is known as Cthulhu, are trapped on the planet R'lyeh and are intent on returning to reoccupy the Earth. Under Hawara, the explorers find evidence of a lost tribe of pre-dynastic people who have been enlisted by Cthulhu, the Devil, to bring destruction upon the people on the Earth. They were to provide him the 'Key' that would allow the return of his hideous 'Elder Ones.' Reality is overtaken by fantasy as the explorers realize that Cthulhu's threat is not only real but is currently underway. They find themselves locked in a desperate race against time to save the Earth from the 'Elder Ones' and their 'Weapon of Mass Destruction.
