In 1957, I left Gettysburg College and went into the Marine Corps. In 1959, I left the Marine Corps and returned to Gettysburg College. Between the time I left college and returned, I faced seventeen weeks in Paris Island, visited fifteen cities around the Mediterranean Sea, played war games in North Africa, swam in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, got lost in Paris and did some real crazy things. This is the story of my Marine Corps experiences.
