At the behest of her fianc', Isabelle Leonard moved from Vermont to New York City, only to be dumped just before the wedding ceremony. Unable to pay the rent on her Upper East Side apartment (or indeed, pay for any food more expensive than peanut butter), she figures a job offer at Becky Belden Multimedia is the answer to all of her prayers. But the bloom is off the rose pretty quickly: Isabelle's boss Lisa dies suddenly, and she learns Lisa's only the latest in a recent string of mysterious deaths at the company.
