Russia has allied itself with the Islamic former Soviet Republics and several other Islamic countries. John Ahasuerus is a lieutenant commanding a platoon of NATO soldiers stationed in Israel. When Ahasuerus and his platoon are sent on a mission to watch the troops massing across the Jordanian border, his men wonder how dangerous this already-tense situation could become.
