Toward the northern end of Courtney Street, in New York City, one can find-or could find in years gone by-the antique shop run by Monsieur Andre Fontaine. From the street it was an innocent-looking establishment. But the room behind the shop was given over to a business far less prosaic and more lucrative than antiques-for M.
