Ada Cambridge was a 19th century British author. She began writing as a child when she developed a lasting correspondence with her aunt. When she married a missionary she sailed to Australia to begin life in the bush. In Sisters Gutherie Carey sees a young girl in a boarding house being over worked and decides to marry her. They are happy as they honeymoon aboard his ship. He leaves on a year long voyage and returns to find himself a father. This a delightful book told in a gentle style.
